You can be the most beautiful person in the world, you can be wealthy and famous, but if you don’t feel love, self-worth or peace in your mind it can make you feel ugly and worthless.
You can be on the cover of fashion magazines and be in demand all over the world.
You can be in the movies and be considered one of the most desirable people on the planet.
You can have hit records, sold-out concerts and crowds of adoring fans.
You can pen bestsellers, win the Pulitzer Prize and be known as one of the greatest writers of all time.
You can entertain crowds and make them laugh and cry.
You can be known as someone who brings laughter and joy to everyone.
You can create brilliant paintings or stunning works of art.
It’s not in their beautiful voice.
It’s not in their jokes or their smiles.
It’s not in their good looks.
It’s not in their excellent physique.
And it’s not in the joy and happiness they may show nearly everyone else.
It’s in their eyes.
Only people who have experienced it for themselves will recognize it instantly–that thing behind the eyes that tells a different story.
People may say:
What do they have to feel bad about? They have everything.
That person wasn’t depressed, they were on top of the world.
How could someone who is so successful be struggling for sanity within their own mind?
How could someone who has it all have any problems at all?
It’s understandable. If you’ve never seen the beast yourself, how could you ever believe in it’s existence.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if we are rich or poor, famous or not, we all need the same things: love, self-worth and peace of mind. Don’t forget to work hard on these things, too.
