Here in Florida we mostly have one season all year long with occasional breaks for a few cool days here and there. I don’t consider this a bad thing. I love the year round warmth and greenery in Florida. I spent many years living up north and feel like I’ve had enough cold weather to last a lifetime.
Still, I do miss a few things about having seasons. I miss the beauty of certain things like changing leaves in the fall, falling snow in the winter and budding flowers in the spring… I don’t miss it enough to move back though! I can see it in pictures and on TV and be just fine. Speaking of that, here is a collection of photos I’m calling Acccents of Autumn. Doesn’t that sound lovely? Check out more fall photos on my Pinterest board.

Very nice pictures! I couldn’t live without the transition of the seasons, I love it. Now it’s very late summer and I could write a book about how it’s all changing and the anticipation of autumn. I’m writing a blog with some pumpkins in it. But it’s not ready yet. I think you’ll like it 🙂 Going to check out your Pinterest now 🙂

Ah, JoAnn, your photos really make me pine for the north – and I live here! Would you believe every day in the autumn is just as you’ve pictured? No? You lived here once? Well, you must’ve forgotten.
The solution, of course, is to acquire “means,” allowing for a summer home and a winter home. Simple.
Until then, we can drool over pictures like yours.

Its funny I always loved fall for the beautiful colors but I never liked the cold much. I suppose I was always meant to live in the south.
A summer house up there and a winter house down here would be ideal! Maybe one of these days. Spending Christmas in the north is nice too, its the only day I really miss snow. ❄️🎄

Your photos show a lot of reason to anticipate autumn, JoAnn. I don’t think I could live in a place without seasons, and I would have difficulty with the high humidity in Florida, but I am glad you feel at home there.
Happy soon-to-be fall!
Best,
Tanja

Yes, you really have to like warmth and humidity to live here. After I developed a thyroid problem I ended up being very sensitive to cold so it works good for me. Thanks for visiting. 🙂

That’s good for you. Just imagine if everyone wanted/needed to live in the same place! It’s good to spread it all out! ☀
