Memo at midnight: Just stop and smell the roses 🌹🥀

I wanted to offer these beautiful roses to all the people who are hurting tonight… and all those who are struggling with something… anything… in other words all of us.

Oh well, this is indeed what makes us human isn’t it?

Our sense of smell is sometimes forgotten when it comes to practicing self-healing measures. If you’re feeling stressed, depressed or whatever, fill up your senses with intoxicating smells.

I love my aromatherapy essential oils for this. Peppermint, eucalyptus, etc. And I love the scent of roses. Incense and scented candles are another of my favorites… and using aromatic herbs like thyme and sage for cooking.

Breathe in the best of life… gifts of the universe really… and feel better my friend!

  1. Great post, JoAnn! It’s been said smell is the most evocative of the senses. At times, just a waft is al that’s necessary to transport us, to make the intervening years disappear.

    Maybe our sense of smell isn’t so great when compared to other creatures’, but we compensate for the deficiency by devoting such mental resources to smell. Bloodhounds may have the nose, but we set the scents to a jaunty tune!
