I don’t suppose too many people choose Thanksgiving as their favorite holiday. Not sure if I have a favorite holiday myself… seems a bit like choosing chocolate over chocolate… however I do have a special place in my heart for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is pretty low key as far as holidays go. There are no complicated rules or expectations to “have the best time of the year.” There are no religious connotations and the cultural significance is pretty fluid. No special stuff to buy or any pressure to find the perfect gift. On Thanksgiving one merely needs a plate, a fork, a little food and a feeling of thankfulness and togetherness.
Reflecting on life’s blessings, no matter how small, is one of the most important things we can do in life. I’m particularly thankful to have all my fellow bloggers to interact with throughout the year… it really brightens up my time here on mortal earth.
I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving. Enjoy these awesome photos from my Thanksgiving Pinterest board and feel free to stop by and visit me there as well.
What a delicious looking spread! π

Thanks, JoAnn. Pretty good reasons for giving Thanksgiving some love.
Great pictures, too. Puts me in mind of putting together a perfect post-Thanksgiving dinner – a cornbread sandwich complete with juicy turkey, tangy cranberry sauce and savory stuffing. Mmmm!
Still something of a novelty, despite yesterday’s feast, and it uses up some leftovers. Win-win.

Sounds delicious. I too had Thanksgiving leftovers today. Its been a while since I cooked for Thanksgiving but definitely one of the advantages is having all the nice leftovers. π
